SILENT HILL: Townfall Weapons & Locations — First Run and NG+

Every weapon by category and stage: three first-run firearms, two NG+ weapons, improvised melee and throwables — with each pickup's dedicated guide linked.

    Quick overview

Weapon talk mixes four different categories — this page keeps them apart:

    Category Items First appearance
Firearms (first run) Pistol · Shotgun · Flare Gun Part 4 onward
NG+ weapons Axe · Pistol-3000 New Game Plus runs
Improvised melee Plank · Pipe · wooden board and similar From the opening chapters
Throwables Bottle · Brick From Part 2 onward

When a guide says “five weapons”, it is counting firearms + NG+ weapons only and excluding improviseds and throwables — that is a tally choice, not the game’s total object count. This page lists all four categories.

    First-run weapons

    Pistol: availability and location

    • When: the story returns you to control of Simon.
    • Where: Town Square — a box marked “Richard’s Gift”.
    • Afterwards: usable by both Simon and Richard (per the roadmap’s weapon tracking).
    • Kill economy is a guide-reported figure, not ours: ShowGamer counts two shots per standard enemy, so ammo conservation matters.

    Shotgun: availability and location

    • When/where: automatic — you cannot miss it; it is granted after entering CEG Tower (late Part 4, first held as Richard).
    • The roadmap adds the usable-by detail: Richard late in the game, then Simon again in the final section.

Found in CEG Locker 75 (pin 184) at the CEG Employee Lockers — Simon-only per the roadmap. The full route (barcode → scanner → locker) lives on its own page: Locker 75 Code & Flare Gun Location. Its trophy role is covered there and in Pinpoint Inaccuracy.

    NG+ weapons: Axe and Pistol-3000

    Weapon Unlock gate Dedicated page
Axe Any first completion — spawns in the next NG+ (both routes) Axe location
    Pistol-3000 A banked Sci-fi ending, then the next NG+ run Pistol-3000 guide

The Axe’s one-hit-melee and the Pistol-3000’s stats are guide-reported figures; this page does not republish damage tables because no verified numeric source exists.

    Improvised weapons and throwables

    • Improvised melee — planks, pipes and similar objects are regular world pickups (ShowGamer excludes them from its firearms tally for exactly that reason). The roadmap counts Plank and Pipe kills toward Creative Process. A wooden board behind the Peters Newsagent counter is an early example (Zoe’s house power).
    • Throwables — bottles and bricks are both weapons-when-softened and the game’s distraction tools; their trophy roles are on the combat & stealth page and in Creative Process.

    Character and progression restrictions

    • Pistol — Simon picks it up; Simon and Richard use it afterwards.
    • Shotgun — Richard first, Simon again in the final section.
    • Flare Gun — Simon-only (roadmap).
    • Axe — both Simon and Zoe (NG+).
    • Pistol-3000 — Simon and Richard; needs the Sci-fi gate above.

    What this page rests on

ShowGamer’s weapons guide (read in full, 2026-09-24) is the step-source for pickup locations; the roadmap (read in full, 2026-09-24) independently fixes the character/progression restrictions and the seven-weapon trophy list. Kill counts and one-shot claims are those guides’ figures, quoted per entry and not universalized. A second aggregator (bo3.gg) was paywalled/unreadable and is not used. No weapon was picked up on this site — source-checked.
