SILENT HILL: Townfall Remote Systems — CCTV IDs & Console Order

Follow the Remote Systems console order, CCTV camera IDs and AUX locker 0825. The Regulator input is disputed, so the guide shows both reports.

    Location:
SWDP – Different — control room console
    Part:
    Simon
    Chapter:
    Part 6 — Chapter 15, Trying Again

    Quick solution: Valve B → Filter A → AUX Key 0825 + Aux Lines → Aux Line B → Regulator → Valve F door 592

Reward: Progression to the clamp release and the chapter end

What is the Remote Systems Control puzzle?

Prerequisite: reach the control room first — power the SWDP generator, grab the JOE Key and Access Card, then open the shutter. Those steps are checkpointed on the Simon walkthrough’s control-room section.

In SWDP – Different (Part 6, Chapter 15 “Trying Again”) the control-room console asks Simon to relive the events on CCTV: a sequence of console commands, each one two symbol buttons followed by a number, with the number always entered last. The numbers are not hidden codes — you read each one off the environment through the CCTV cameras (or off a document lying beside the console).

    The sequence at a glance

    # Console objective Where the number comes from
1 Open Valve B Camera 005 (Valves A-C room) — pan right and zoom on Valve B; the ID is written on the valve
2 Start Filter A Camera 000 (Filter Unit) — the ID is on the desk
3 AUX Key + Aux Lines Before leaving the console, open the locker to its right with 0825; take the key upstairs to the Auxiliary Lines puzzle
4 Flush Aux Line B The Remote Systems Control document beside the console — Aux Line B’s ID (246)
5 Stop the Regulator Camera 002 (Regulator Systems) — the wall is painted 781, the reported input differs between guides (see the numbers table)
6 Unlock Valve F door Camera 004 (Valves D-F) — the ID is above the door (592)

Then manually open Valve F downstairs, return to the control room printer, and finish at the clamp panel — that final configuration is the clamp release puzzle, which has its own page.

Optional doors worth unlocking before you leave

Three numbered doors on this floor open onto side content — none are needed for the console sequence itself:

Door Where / how it opens What it leads to Guide
621 Keypad door, SWDP – Different Room with a Resource Container and Strange Book #3 (Sci-fi route, NG+) Containers #7 · Sci-fi ending
793 Console-unlocked room in SWDP The Gold Coin for the Dog ending (NG+) Dog ending
047 Door ID on this floor Contents not independently verified by this site — check the source note below —

The 793 room is unlocked through the Remote Systems console itself (the ending-guide route uses it on NG+ runs). Door 047’s ID is known. AllThings. How reports Lockbox Key #7 inside, while PowerPyx describes a lower-floor northwest room without giving that door number. The precise match remains unverified here; use the container guide for the sourced room landmark, and do not treat this door-to-key association as independently confirmed.

    The numbers every guide reports

The values below are source-reported observations. Read your own camera and check the current objective, but note that the Regulator wall number and accepted console input are disputed separately:

    Objective Value Read from
Valve B 254 Cam 005, written on the valve
Filter A 103 Cam 000, on the desk
AUX locker 0825 Given by the console
Aux Line B 246 Document beside the console
Regulator 178 / 781 disputed Cam 002 wall: 781; three input tables use 178; Hardcore Gamer and IGN report 781
Valve F door 592 Cam 004, above the door

Two disclosure notes, kept apart on purpose:

Regulator — the reported inputs disagree. AllThings. How, GameRant’s input table and ShowGamer use 178 while describing 781 on the wall. Hardcore Gamer and IGN’s later video instruct 781. Multiple articles are not proof of independent playthroughs. We have not established a version/difficulty rule or whether this is a transcription error, so we do not call 781 a proven red herring. Check the objective, symbol pair and your camera view; the game’s acceptance of the command is the decisive feedback.

Valve B / Filter A — PowerPyx prints 245 / 130 where every other guide’s inputs are 254 / 103. Unlike the Regulator case, no source explains that gap, so the page teaches the camera-derivation first (read your own camera) and discloses the difference rather than picking a winner silently. The step order, the 0825 locker and every camera ID agree across all sources.

    How each command is entered

    1. Face the console and press the two symbol buttons for the objective (open/valve, start/filter, flush/particles, stop/regulator, unlock/door — the shapes are printed in the objectives on screen).
    2. Enter the number from the table.
    3. Press Enter. A wrong pair just fails the entry — retry the same two symbols in order, number last.

The Valve B and Filter A pairs repeat the pattern: one switch symbol, one equipment symbol, then the digits. If a command will not take, you are likely entering the number before the symbols.

    Watch the console interaction

The PowerPyx recording shows the console at 1:42:16 and a closer view of its symbol buttons, number pad and confirmation controls at 1:42:21. These inspected checkpoints help match the interface before following the sequence above. The clip continues through the subsequent objectives and contains later story footage.

These frames establish the interface, not a successful 178 or 781 input. The number disagreement above remains unresolved; we have not promoted this page to a self-played or fully verified solution.

    Follow the focused video walkthrough

IGN’s September 26 control-room walkthrough gives 781 for the Regulator. We checked its narration and selected interface frames, which add support for that report. We have not validated every digit press in an uninterrupted sequence or established why older articles say 178. The disagreement remains disclosed above.

These jump points follow the creator’s chapters. The later segments contain chapter-end puzzle footage.

Check the result after each step

Completed action Expected next task If you are stuck
Open Valve B Start Filter A Match the valve symbol and its ID, not camera 005
Start Filter A Collect AUX Key and visit Auxiliary Lines Locker 0825 is beside the console
Finish the three AUX lines Return for Flush Aux Line B Check all three status lights before leaving upstairs
Flush Aux Line B Stop the Regulator The document supplies 246
Stop the Regulator Unlock Valve F door Check the printer for the new instruction before continuing
Unlock Valve F door Turn Valve F manually Leave the console and visit the valve downstairs
Turn Valve F Collect clamp instructions Return to the printer, then the clamp panel

Read the objective before the next command

Treat the console’s next instruction as your checkpoint. Completing Filter A sends you to the 0825 locker beside the console. Take the key upstairs to the AUX room switch directions and solution; you cannot finish the whole chain without leaving the console. After all three AUX status lights turn green, return downstairs for Aux Line B. Unlocking the Valve F door still leaves a manual wheel interaction downstairs, followed by a return to the control room printer and the 920CEG clamp panel.

    If it will not progress

    • Console rejects the number — re-read the ID from the camera slowly; the zoom exists for exactly this.
    • Nothing happens after Aux Lines — you must ride the elevator back down and re-enter the control room before “Flush Aux Line B” activates.
    • Stuck after the Regulator — the Valve F door command is a separate console entry; after it, physically go downstairs to Valve F and open it by hand, then return to the console.

    What this page rests on

Four guides read in full (GameRant, Hardcore Gamer, AllThings. How, PowerPyx) plus ShowGamer’s cameras guide agree on the step order, camera IDs, the 0825 locker and the control-panel flow. The two numeric wrinkles are disclosed above and kept separate: the Regulator’s 178 / 781 inputs are disputed, while the PowerPyx Valve B / Filter printed values also differ from other input records. Neither disagreement has an established cause. This page keeps a source-checked status — no run was performed on this site, and different publishers are still not independent playthroughs. The Simon route places this puzzle in the chapter flow, and the clue item itself is row 82 of the documents checklist.
