736. The safe is upstairs in 6 North Brae, in the second bedroom.

How do I get inside if the front door is locked?

1. Finish the floppy-disk route at 5 South Brae and obtain the South Brae barcode.
2. Scan it at CEG Lockers, open Locker 17 (575), and collect the Boltcutters.
3. Take the stairs near CEG Lockers and cut the chained gate to the upper area.
4. At 6 North Brae, go around to the back door. Upstairs, the second bedroom contains the safe and the Lamenting Poem.

The locked front door is not the place to enter 736; that code belongs to the bedroom safe. Both cited walkthroughs describe the rear-door route.

Where is the clue?

The “Lamenting Poem” clue sits on a chair in the same bedroom. It describes the code through the item counts in the paintings around the house — count what each painting depicts, in the order the poem names them, to derive 736.

What exactly does the poem count?

Per ShowGamer’s independent account: boats — 7 (a bedroom painting), arches — 3 (another bedroom drawing), children — 6 (framed photographs on the living-room wall). Reading the three groups in the order the poem names them gives 7-3-6. PowerPyx states the same mechanism without the per-group counts.

Where this feeds

The safe’s barcode scans to Locker 204 (pin 971), which holds one of the three Mechanical Parts for the Strange Gate — the gate this whole estate loop exists to open.
