What is the floppy disk puzzle?

Three floppy disks found around Clara Woods must be repaired and read on the upstairs computer in 5 South Brae. The repaired files print a clue sheet that leads to the area’s safe.

What do I need first?

• Disk Case Key — opens both the Atlas Computers container (holding the “Fix-A-Disk!” software) and the 5 South Brae upstairs container (holding Floppy Disks 1-3).
• Access to the Atlas Computers terminal (side room) and the 5 South Brae upstairs computer.

What is the repair workflow?

1. At the terminal, run “Fix-A-Disk!”.
2. Scan a floppy disk.
3. Run “Repair Volume” — only Floppy Disk (2 of 3) needs the repair pass.
4. Insert the disks in order — 1, 2, 3 — confirming “Unzip to RAM” after each insert.
5. Print MANUAL.EML from the printer.

What does MANUAL.EML reveal?

The printout is the “Reciprocating Compressor” clue — its part number is the basis for the Upper Brae safe code. See the tape puzzle & safe page for that chain.
