SILENT HILL: Townfall Forever Ending — How to Get Here To Stay
How to plan for the Forever ending while its score is disputed, with reported runs, Cannula and treatment clues, and a safe reload strategy.

Answer: Community-reported Forever score: 0–19; not independently reproduced here
Requirements
- Collect some Discoveries and keep a save before the final stretch; a visible kills-minus-Discoveries gap cannot guarantee Forever
- Track Cannula refills and Zoe treatment mistakes as reported factors, without assuming exact weights are verified here
- Playable on a first playthrough or NG+; no unique items or questline
- CRTV scans do not count toward Discoveries
- ShowGamer’s 47/44 example and a player’s 66/43 result both landed Forever; they do not define a cutoff
- The reported 60-total-kill automatic Abandoned lock is disputed

Source update: 28 September
PowerPyx’s current guide now adopts the weighted-score explanation and credits CrazyDude1994 / CrazySerega. Its publication of the finding is not an independent reproduction. Earlier balance advice below is retained as historical context, not the guide’s current position.
What does the original research say about exactly 20?
The original blueprint-analysis post explicitly reports Justice at 20 or more, Forever at 0–19, and Abandoned below 0. Under that proposed rule, exactly 20 belongs to Justice. PowerPyx uses “over 20” alongside “0–19”; that wording leaves a gap which the original author’s account does not.
These are reported community thresholds, not an official specification or an outcome independently reproduced by this site. The proposed score is Discoveries minus 2 per qualifying Simon kill, 4 per Cannula refill and 3 per Zoe treatment mistake. The postgame total-kills figure cannot be substituted for the qualifying-kill count. Keep an earlier save for an ordinary ending attempt; skip manual saves on a Reject The Help run.
Quick answer
Forever is the middle main ending, available on a first run or NG+. Older guides describe a small Discovery lead over total kills, but newer player results show that visible gap alone does not predict Forever. There is no verified target number to enter or single choice to select.
What counts as a Discovery?
Clues and Documents — the 85 pickups on the documents checklist. CRTV scans do not count. The total appears on the results screen, but it is only one reported input to the ending score.
Why a 3–5 Discovery lead is unreliable
ShowGamer reports 47 Discoveries / 44 kills for one Forever run and recommended aiming 3–5 ahead. A later player result shows Forever at 66 Discoveries / 43 postgame kills — a lead of 23. These are different runs, not a controlled comparison, but the second result is enough to reject a visible 3–5 gap as a dependable requirement.
A mod author’s game-data findings report a weighted score with Discoveries, qualifying Simon kills, Cannula refills and Zoe’s treatment mistakes. That account helps explain why the postgame total-kills number may not match a simple ending calculation. This site has not reproduced the game-data reading or tested the thresholds.
What remains unconfirmed
Player research now proposes numeric thresholds, but they have not been independently confirmed here with controlled runs. How every enemy type counts, and whether patch version or difficulty changes the result, remain unverified for this guide. Do not rely on the reported 60 total kills as an automatic Abandoned lock.
| Reported visible result | Outcome and limit |
|---|---|
| 47 Discoveries / 44 kills (ShowGamer) | Forever in one guide’s run |
| 66 Discoveries / 43 postgame kills (player report) | Forever in one player’s run |
| 78 Discoveries / 18 kills (ShowGamer) | Justice in one guide’s run |
None of these pairs establishes a universal cutoff because Cannula refills, Zoe’s mistakes and which kills counted were not controlled across runs.
Late-save planning
Skip manual saves during Reject The Help. For an ordinary endings run:
- Record Discoveries, kills, Cannula refills and notable Zoe mistakes. Bank a manual save before the final stretch; PowerPyx identifies the Chapter 15 crank save as a reload point.
- Trigger an ending, note the result, then reload.
- Change only what remains possible after that save: collect or skip final-area Documents and avoid or take optional combat. Keep an earlier save if you need to change Cannula refills or Zoe’s treatment.
If you get Justice, bank that trophy and use an earlier save or NG+ for Forever. If you get Abandoned, a late save may be too late to undo earlier kills, refills or treatment mistakes. Do not assume a few final-area Documents will always switch the result.
Here To Stay trophy
Forever awards Here To Stay (Gold). The trophy goal map links back to this guide.
Evidence and limits
ShowGamer and PowerPyx supplied the early balance advice. The later 66/43 player result and the mod author’s game-data report make that advice insufficient as a guaranteed route. This page remains source_checked: none of those saves was played or inspected by this site’s editor, and no numeric cutoff is adopted as a verified rule.
