This privacy policy describes how Townfall Answers ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit this website.
Information We Collect
Townfall Answers is a static website. We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to read guides. Analytics services process usage information as described below. If you email us, you choose what contact details and message to provide.
Third-Party Services
The services below process information under their own privacy policies. Advertising and optional comments are only used when enabled; listing them here does not mean they are currently active.
- Google AdSense (when enabled) — Google and its advertising partners may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Google and other third-party vendors may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's Privacy Policy . You can manage personalized Google ads in Google Ad Settings . For other participating ad vendors, you can also visit AboutAds .
- Adsterra — after you accept advertising cookies, we load native and banner ads from Adsterra. Its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including request information such as IP address, browser and referring page. Declining keeps these ad units unloaded. See Adsterra's privacy policy for its data handling and available privacy choices.
- Analytics — Google Analytics loads with storage denied and may send cookieless pings before you choose or after you decline. Accepting our site analytics prompt enables analytics storage and optional guide interaction events; it does not grant consent for personalized ads. Plausible Community Edition, hosted at analytics.nitortian.com, measures aggregate traffic and configured outbound-link, download and form-submission events without analytics cookies. Ahrefs Web Analytics, and Cloudflare Web Analytics when enabled, measure aggregate page views (such as page URL, referrer, approximate country and device class) without cross-site tracking. - Cloudflare — our hosting provider, which may process basic request data for security and performance (and serve Web Analytics when enabled, see above).
- Comments (giscus, opt-in) — when the comment section is enabled, giscus.app loads an embedded GitHub view; viewing it exposes your IP address and browser info to that service, and signing in to comment is handled by GitHub under its own privacy policy.
- Embedded videos (YouTube) — preview images are hosted on this site. The player from youtube-nocookie.com loads only after you choose to open it. Following a YouTube link takes you to that service under its own privacy policy.
Guide Feedback and Tool Usage
After you accept analytics cookies, we measure yes/no guide ratings, optional fixed-choice feedback reasons, and actions such as checklist use, printing, backup import/export, code copying, reference-card links and video entry clicks. These custom events include the guide path and action category. They do not include checklist item IDs, your ticked items, backup file names or contents, game saves, or free-text messages. We do not send these custom events before consent or replay earlier actions after you accept.
Data Kept in Your Browser
Your theme, cookie choice and guide feedback choice may be stored in this browser. Checklist progress is saved locally only when you choose to remember it; import and export run on your device. Checklist contents are not uploaded. You can remove local records through your browser's site-data settings. When analytics is declined, guide feedback choices remain local; the contact page offers a separate way to send a correction.
Cookies
You can decline optional analytics and Adsterra advertising cookies and still read every guide. To change your site analytics and Adsterra advertising choice, use the button below; the page will reload and ask again. You can also clear this site's data in your browser. If Google ads are enabled, visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will receive a separate advertising consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform. Its choices govern ad personalization independently of this site's analytics prompt.
Children's Privacy
Townfall Answers is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
