What is the CEG Security room code?

4895 opens the Security room near CEG reception, ground floor, during Part 4. This is the door keypad, not Richard’s box lock or the card printer.

    Where is the clue?

Check the Maintenance whiteboard: its number 4 and arrows form the clue. The trash can in the Maintenance room also holds the first half of the Case Codes sheet. Return toward reception to enter the Security code.

    What should you collect inside?

Search the trash can beside the Security desk for the other half. Both guides also note a save phone and two PCs in the room — a good point to save before the case-code work. Combine the two pieces, then use the Access Card walkthrough to find Richard’s box and print the elevator card.

    The elevator is still locked

Opening Security is only one step. The elevator needs the printed card; entering this door code does not replace it.

    Source and verification

Two independent guides, read in full, report the same answer: ShowGamer’s walkthrough (checked 30 September 2026) and Eurogamer’s guide (Kelsey Raynor, 23 September 2026; checked 4 October 2026). Both describe the same whiteboard method, the code 4895 and the second Case Codes half inside the room. This cross-source agreement lifts the page to verified under our two-independent-sources rule; we still have not pressed the keypad ourselves, so no in-game test is claimed.
