How Documents and Clues work

The game tracks 85 Discoveries in one stat. Items that carry puzzle solutions are Clues; optional story/lore pickups are Documents — the split below shows which is which, but the game counts them together:

50% of the total earns the Observation trophy.
All 85 earn Thorough Inspection (Gold).
The same Discoveries stat appears to feed the main-ending score — see the endings overview for why kills alone do not predict the result between Justice, Forever and Abandoned.
Areas lock behind story progress, so most entries are missable in one run. Bank phone-booth saves as you sweep each area.

Several rows chain into dedicated guides — the Records Room code clue, the infusion lead, the organ-box email/card and the clamp procedure all have their own pages, linked in the table context.

Before the exterior construction lift: restore generator power, return to the first yard building and read both computer emails (rows 4–5). Finish rows 1–5 in the exterior area before boarding.
