Quick solution: Card from Peters Newsagent register → under-stairs meter → A to £5.00 credit → B to apply → master switch On

Reward: Electricity restored — the living-room computer becomes usable

    Quick answer

The Electricard — the game’s name for the Prepaid Power Card — is in the cash register inside Peters Newsagent. The shop’s front door is locked, so you reach it through the rear alley and the green Fire Exit door. Back at Zoe’s house, insert it into the power meter under the stairs, press A until the display reads Card Credit £5.00, press B to apply, then flip the master switch.

    What is the Electricard?

One item, two names: guides call it the Electricard; the game’s own credit guide and inventory call it the Prepaid Power Card. It is a pay-as-you-go power card for Zoe’s electricity meter — not a code and not a key. The hint that starts the chain is the Electricard Credit Guide, a note in the crawlspace underneath Zoe’s stairs: it says Electricards are sold at local newsagents and marks Peters Newsagent on your map.

    Reach the Newsagent

    1. Leave Zoe’s house and follow the route toward Peters Newsagent.
    2. The front entrance is locked — this is not a bug or a lock you pick.
    3. Go around the building and take the open passage into the rear alley.
    4. A creature patrols the alley: use the CRTV to track it and move when the route is clear.

    Find the Prepaid Power Card

    • Enter through the green Fire Exit door at the back.
    • First room on the left, then go behind the counter.
    • Open the cash register — the card is inside.
    • A wooden board lies nearby: an early melee weapon if you want it (it also feeds the weapon-kill checklist on the trophies hub).

    Return to the power meter

    Back at Zoe’s house:

    1. Crawl underneath the stairs to reach the power meter.
    2. Insert the card into the slot beneath the A and B buttons.
    3. Press A repeatedly until the display reads Card Credit £5.00.
    4. Press B to apply the credit.
    5. Flip the master power switch to On.

The £5.00 figure is a completion check, not a password — you are watching the meter apply the card’s credit, not entering a code. If pressing A does nothing, the card is not seated in the slot; if B does nothing, the display has not reached £5.00 yet.

    Access the computer

With the master switch on, the living-room computer powers up — that is the completion state of this puzzle. The computer is what makes the next chain possible.

    Continue to the organ box

The restored computer holds Zoe’s emails — including the one with the left dial code for the organ transport box in her kitchen. That page picks up exactly where this one ends: this puzzle restores the power, the organ-box page handles the box, the dials and the lanyard. The Credit Guide itself is also one of the 85 Discoveries.

    What this page rests on

The step-by-step account (rear-alley route, fire exit, register, A/B meter sequence, £5.00 display) comes from NoobFeed’s Electricard guide, read in full on 2026-09-24; PowerPyx’s Arrival guide independently corroborates the card’s location in the newsagent cash register (read in full, 2026-09-22). The page keeps a source-checked status: the meter steps rest on one full read, and nothing here reports menu names or values the sources do not state.
