SILENT HILL: Townfall Trophy Guide & Platinum Roadmap

SILENT HILL: Townfall Reject The Help Trophy Guide — No Manual Saves

Reject The Help (Gold) wants a full run without calling 100 to save: refuse the prompted first save, autosaves keep firing, and Story Mode covers the gaps.

Answer: Finish without manual saves; back out of the initial save menu

    Requirements

    • A complete playthrough with no manual phone saves; dismiss the opening save menu without saving
    • The prompt fires once, when meeting Richard; backing out of that save menu is allowed and expected
    • Autosaves continue throughout — chapter progress and objectives still checkpoint
    • Missable: avoid completing a manual save during the attempt

Reward: Trophy: Reject The Help (Gold)

What does Reject The Help ask for?

Finish a full playthrough without manual saves. It is a Gold trophy and missable: avoid completing a save through 100 or a marked save phone.

What should I do at the opening save prompt?

PowerPyx’s trophy-specific instructions say to back out of the save menu when meeting Richard. Its overview calls the first save required; this guide follows the detailed back-out instructions and does not promise an initial manual-save exemption.

Early in the run the game prompts a manual save when you meet Richard. That prompt is the trophy’s reference point — you can open the save menu and back out of it, which counts as not saving. After dismissing the prompt, avoid manual phone saves for the rest of the run. The restriction concerns manual saving, not every use of a phone.

What you lose — and what you keep

    • You keep autosaves. The game checkpoints frequently as chapters progress and objectives complete, so this is not a no-save run — the roadmap author calls it fairly easy for exactly that reason.
    • You lose player-controlled checkpoints. The long stretches are the town exploration segments between objectives; dying there rolls you back to the last autosave.
    • Difficulty helps. Story Mode carries abundant healing items and enemies hit lightly, which is how the author gets away with recommending it — there is no requirement to play on a higher tier for this trophy.

    How to schedule the run

For easier retries, keep this separate from a collecting run that uses the frequent-save plan. Collecting items is allowed; manual saving is the conflict. We recommend a dedicated, route-known playthrough — naturally a New Game Plus or second run — where autosave checkpoints carry you and the phone habit is switched off. If you are also chasing Save It For The Patients, both run-rules can share one attempt: no manual saves and no healing do not conflict with each other.

    If it fails

There is no in-run warning when you slip — the phone menu simply works. If you catch an accidental save immediately, the honest fix is restarting the run; the trophy judges the completed playthrough, not the intention.

    What this page rests on

Every mechanic above (the Richard prompt, the back-out allowance, autosave behavior, Story Mode reasoning) comes from PowerPyx’s roadmap, read in full on 2026-09-24 and rechecked on 2026-09-25 — source-checked, one publisher chain, and no run performed on this site. The run-scheduling advice is editorial, built on the published missables guide.

Fit this into your trophy run

Use the platinum route and save checkpoints to choose compatible goals before your next attempt. Keep manual-save retries on a separate run from Reject The Help; a trophy guide’s retry setup does not override that challenge’s restriction.
